The Book Thief | Markus Zusak

I cringed every time I had to put this book down. It was that good. The author does not merely write, he paints vividly beautiful, colorful images with the magic of words. It's been a while since I've been so taken with a book from beginning to end. You can't help but get pulled in so deep and falling for it.

Read the first chapter for free here.

i wrote this post in a hurry, but probably should've talked about the plot a little. (did you read the first chapter yet?)

although it is narrated by death's perspective, the novel is ANYTHING BUT scary! it is humorous, touching, insightful, intriguing, filled with imagery... death is almost human and approachable and LIKABLE in this book. it's an amazing read. the tears were flowing at certain parts, it was THAT good, and NOT scary in the least!
